History of the Hotel Fisserhof

December 25, 1964

Opening of the Hotel Fisserhof with 29 guest rooms as the first hotel in Fiss.

After the mountain village of Fiss decided to go into the winter tourism, the absolute prerequisite was having a hotel in the village. The brothers Alois and Karl Pale got enthusiastic about the idea and built with the Hotel Fisserhof the first hotel in Fiss with 53 guest beds and a dining room. In 1967 the first ski lift in Fiss was put into operation.

1968 - 1972

• Extension of the central building of the Hotel Fisserhof and the fireplace lounge
• Construction of additional 52 guest beds
• Construction of the indoor pool as the first indoor pool in Fiss and of a small spa area

1979

Addition of the rotunda in south-west direction with beautiful view of the mountain landscape

1981 - 1994

• Construction of the third part of the hotel building (above the indoor pool)
• Construction of 14 additional guest rooms
• Commissioning of the outdoor pool
• Various dining room and room extensions

1998

Construction of the spa area with a wooden sauna, a flower steam bath and Ottoman bath, a laconium and tepidarium as well as different foot baths and Kneipp basins

2000 - 2009

• Various room conversions and renovations, addition of the lift tower and the office space
• Purchase of the neighbour house Kristall with 12 guest rooms

2011

• Construction of the underground garage
• Construction of today's outdoor swimming pool and outdoor whirlpool
• Construction of the fitness room and the two relaxation rooms

2016 - 2017

• Reconstruction and extension of the reception
• Acquisition of the hotel by the Family Pale from Fiss
• Redesign of the entire exterior facade and various renovations in the hotel

2019 (Spring)

Renovation of the bathrooms in the Single Rooms-, Double Rooms-, and Junior Suites Garden View
New in the respective Double Rooms and Junior Suites: double wash basin, walk-in shower and separate toilet.

2019 (Autumn)

Renovation of the Single Rooms-, Double Rooms- and Junior Suites Garden View
New: comfortable box spring bed with individualized headboard, desk and chair, lighting, living room table, some rooms have a new couch, armchair, curtains and bedside tables

2021 (Autumn)

• Construction of a new, modern restaurant with Tyrolean charm
• Construction of a vinotheque within the restaurant area
• Construction of a new children's and youth room
• Construction of a new connecting corridor from the underground car park into the hotel with a spacious ski & bike room, changing rooms with showers and lockers as well as new WC facilities with baby changing facilities

2023

• Construction of new suites with view to the Fiss hiking and skiing area:
   
  • Construction of 10 Suites Alpine
  • Construction of 4 Suites Alpine Superior
• Construction of a garden sauna (textile sauna with panoramic view)
